"Getsit" Retriever by Swamp Tech Outdoors

I am always dropping things from my tree stand. I usually just leave what I drop on the ground and pick it up when I am finished hunting.

The "Getsit" Retriever gives you the ability to “hook” something you’ve dropped from a ladder or tree stand and retrieve it without having to climb down from your stand. I will not be going up into a tree stand or quad pod without this clipped to my backpack or fanny pack.

The "Getsit" Retriever is made an injection-molded, durable, polypropylene plastic material. It has steel hooks that are resistant to rust, and at the bottom of the unit there is a strong magnet. “The Magnet is Neodymium Grade 35, Nickel Plated.”
The hooks can be closed so they don’t catch any think in your pack.

 

The "Getsit" Retriever comes with a mini carabineer that you can attach to your backpack, or can be tucked away in a pocket of a fanny pack or backpack.  You will need to attach a piece of string to it to lower and raise the unit. I use a 20’ piece of camouflaged 1/8” braided nylon for its hoist.

After getting our "Getsit" Retriever and attaching the string to it I was ready to drop something from my stand. It took a couple of hunting trips before I dropped something (amazing)…
I dropped two things that day, my arrow and my head net.

I took the "Getsit" Retriever out and within a short time I had all my stuff back in the stand without leaving my seat. The head net drifted directly under my ladder stand and next to the tree, but the large hooks were ideal for grasping the head net. The arrow had lodged between the ground and the tree at an angle. The nock of the arrow was dug into the dirt and the broadhead was snug against the tree.
I was able to use the hooks to dislodge the arrow and then the magnet to “stick” the tip of the broadhead and raise it back up.
It seemed like I had the worst case scenario to test a product. I have to say that the "Getsit" Retriever works great!!

What could make the "Getsit" Retriever better?
Nothing, but It would be really cool if it came in a different color like chartreuse or another brilliant color. Other than that it is a great product.

Over all I rate the "Getsit" Retriever with 5 stars.
